What up.

Mon Nov 2, 2009, 12:02 AM
I have been forgetting that I'm on this site lately, hopefully due to an increase in things to do away from my computer (unfortunately that counts my PS3).

Anyway, my classes this term are turning out to be pretty good. My favorite class by far is my conceptual strategies class, which is for photography. For my first assignment, I had friends take my picture in an attempt that they would essentially record our relationship. The project didn't turn out quite as well as I hoped, but some of the pictures are fairly amusing, as I let my friends pose me as they chose, wherever they felt like taking the pictures. The next project that I'm currently working on is focused on fabrication, so what I've chosen to do is 1) take pictures of Eugene, 2) write a letter under the guise of an amateur historian, 3) write a list of fake facts about Eugene. I'm going to send an image and the two letters in envelopes that I will send to random people across the country, asking them to write back about their own towns. The idea is that I'm fabricating Eugene. While it exists, I highly doubt anyone from outside of it knows that much about it, so I get free reign to completely influence their ideas of this city.

Also, I decided to be a vegetarian. Not for any moral reasons, I honestly couldn't force myself to care how veal is made. I see it more as a personal challenge. So far, I'm really liking it.

How's it going?

Is that Tom Waits? It sounds like Leonard Cohen singing inside a bear.

Oh no, I died a few times, and just got bogged down with paperwork trying to prove that I actually was still alive. It was a mess, but I seem to have beat the system for the time being.
